The price of 24 carat gold fell by Rs 10 in early trade on Monday, with 10 grams of the precious metal selling for Rs 62,940, according to the Good Returns website. Silver prices also fell by Rs 100 with one kilogram of the precious metal selling for Rs 74,900.
The price of 22 carat gold also fell by Rs 10 with the yellow metal selling for Rs 57,690.
The price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 62,940, same as the price in Kolkata and Hyderabad.
In Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold was Rs 63,090, Rs 62,940 and Rs 63,590 respectively.
In Mumbai, the price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold is Rs 57,690, on par with the price in Kolkata and Hyderabad.
In Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being sold for Rs 57,840, Rs 57,690 and Rs 58,290 respectively.

Spot gold was little changed at $2,022.17 an ounce at 0224 GMT, trading within a narrow $4 range.
US gold futures stabilized at $2,036.20 per ounce.
Spot gold fell 0.7% last week through Friday, weighed down by rising U.S. Treasury yields.
Spot platinum was flat at $871.75 an ounce, palladium rose 0.2% to $860.87 and silver rose 0.2% to $22.65.
One kilogram of silver is currently being traded at Rs 74,900 in Delhi and Mumbai.
